Now Usually I Don’t Do This But…(Backpage)

Let’s talk freedom of speech. So, as some of you may know is shutting down their “adult content” section. So, a few people have their panties in a bunch (pun very much intended). However, apparently there’s some seriousness to this situation. According to Washington Post the real issue is Backpage’s attempt to cover up child pornography and sex trafficking. They say that Backpage was a cover up for predators. So, how far has the government gone to shut down this “criminal activity”? As far as keeping credit card companies from doing business with them (according to the article).

So, you be the judge. Is this blocking freedom of speech or has “freedom of speech” infringed upon the rights of others? Hmm…

I think if they are hurting people, it should be shut down. They have freedom of speech still, they can say whatever they want without the opportunity to hurt others. Freedom of speech has not been violated.

I agree if that’s what’s going on. It’s one thing to be able to post what you want but it’s another to cause harm to minors. Thanks for weighing in!
