Let’s talk freedom of speech. So, as some of you may know Backpage.com is shutting down their “adult content” section. So, a few people have their panties in a bunch (pun very much intended). However, apparently there’s some seriousness to this situation. According to Washington Post the real issue is Backpage’s attempt to cover up child pornography and sex trafficking. They say that Backpage was a cover up for predators. So, how far has the government gone to shut down this “criminal activity”? As far as keeping credit card companies from doing business with them (according to the article).
So, you be the judge. Is this blocking freedom of speech or has “freedom of speech” infringed upon the rights of others? Hmm…
